Privacy Policy

Short version

  • We collect only what we need to answer you and run a simple website.
  • Analytics run only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
  • We never sell personal information and do not use advertising cookies.
  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time. We answer within 30 days.

1. Scope

This policy covers personal information we handle through the Site (contact form, waitlist form, cookies) and our direct communications with you. When you use the Outlier3D application, its own privacy policy applies.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

  • Strictly necessary: we store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so the banner does not reappear. No consent is needed for this.
  • Analytics (optional): Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you click “Accept”. It sets cookies such as _ga. If you click “Reject”, it is never loaded.

4. Service providers and transfers outside Québec

We use a small number of providers to run the Site. Some may process information outside Québec or Canada:

  • Web hosting and email delivery (GoDaddy): form submissions are sent by email from our hosting account.
  • Fonts (Fontshare, by the Indian Type Foundry): your browser requests font files from their servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Video hosting (Amazon Web Services): product videos are streamed from AWS servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Analytics (Google), only with your consent.

Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, considering its sensitivity, the purpose, the safeguards in place and the applicable legal framework.

5. How long we keep information

Contact and waitlist submissions are kept as long as needed to answer you and manage our relationship, and no longer than 3 years after our last exchange, unless the law requires otherwise. We then delete or anonymize them.

6. Security

We apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity, quantity and format of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our mailbox.

7. Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the people affected, and we keep a register of incidents. Where federal law applies, we report breaches that create a real risk of significant harm.

8. Your rights

Subject to the law, you may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and have it corrected;
  • Withdraw your consent for future uses;
  • Ask us to delete your information or stop disseminating it;
  • Receive the information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).

To exercise these rights, write to contact@bdoutlier.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will update the date at the top of this page.
